Know a little about us
Tennessee Protective Services, Inc. is incorporated in the State of Tennessee. The company holds an active Tennessee State License as a Private Protective Services / Contract Security Company and is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
We protect our clients, our company, and our employees with general liability insurance of $1,000,000 each occurrence with a general aggregate of of $3,000,000 as well as workers compensation insurance. Our insurance broker supplies a Certificate of Insurance to each of our clients.
We assume full responsibility for the actions of our officers while on duty. Therefore, we do not use contract workers as Protection Officers regardless of the duration of the assignment. All of our officers are employees of the company. They are fully covered by our insurance and governed by TPS rules and procedures.
We are growing to handle the demands of the modern risk environment. We have two Uniformed Services Divisions at present: The Special Services Division for on-site protection and the Patrol Division for multiple site area or neighborhood protection. All of the Protection Officers in these divisions have at some time in their careers worked in government law enforcement as police officers, sheriff's deputies, or military police officers. We provide armed service and all of our officers must possess a Tennessee Private Protective Services / Armed Security Officer license as well as a civilian Handgun Carry Permit to enhance our own background checks.
We expect competence and working knowledge of the modern security industry in all our personnel, whether or not they wear the uniform. All employees of TPS must also meet the same licensing and, to a certain extent, training requirements as the Protection Officers and hold active licenses while employed by the company.
Image and perception are important to any business. The professional image of the TPS officer protecting your assets reflects on your company as much as ours. The TPS officer must adhere to strict uniform and conduct standards while on duty, and is required to obey general and specific post orders to the letter.
