A note from the Chief regarding Armed Protection Officers
We at Tennessee Protective Services, Inc. are unique in our approach to offering protection to our clients and their properties.
An armed TPS Protection Officer is not simply someone we hired and put through the State required training for an Armed Security License. Prior to employment by us, each TPS officer has at some point in his or her careeer been trained, certified, and commissioned by a City, County or State agency as a law enforcement officer or U.S. Military Police Officer. The officer's instinct based on training and conditioning is geared to resolving conflicts peacefully with a solid, poised, and confident uniformed presence and to use force, either non-lethal or lethal, only as a last resort to protect life and limb. We reinforce this instinct with additional on-going training and regular re-qualification.
It is a testament to the quality of individual wearing the TPS uniform that not one of our officers has found it necessary to use force in our patrol of one of the highest crime areas in Chattanooga where theft, vandalism, and physical danger to employees of our client companies was rampant prior to our arrival.
The quality and training of our officers is our key preparation for assuming the responsibility for an armed presence on your property.
